Motorsports Expert Mark Gallagher reviews Formula One Season

Here is an excerpt of his original statement: “With Lewis Hamilton taking dominant victories in the opening rounds of the FIA Formula One World Championship, the British ace and his team mate Nico Rosberg seem set for another great season with Mercedes Benz. It will not be easy for the Brackley, Northamptonshire-based team, however, as Ferrari, Red Bull Racing, Williams and McLaren Honda are all working hard to bring their own innovations to bear, and once again demonstrate how ‘change management’ remains a central challenge across Formula One.”As most of the time, it is about change as the utmost challenge, in motorsports as in business!

Keynote speaker Mark Gallagher continues his analysis: “On the technological front the rule changes are relatively slight compared to last year when we saw huge innovation with the introduction of petrol-electric hybrid engines. When I was running Cosworth I joined with my competitors from Ferrari, Renault and Mercedes in 2009 to create these technically challenging but highly relevant power unit technologies which were introduced last year. This year will see F1 cars featuring subtle changes to their aerodynamics, but with drivers limited to only 4 engines for the season, Formula One’s drive towards demonstrating energy efficiency and sustainability in a less-is-more world continues unabated.”
