The Dakar Rally is the highlight at the beginning of the motorsport year 2020. On the 5th of January the race started from Lima, the capital of Peru, to Santiago in Chile. This year’s motto “In the footsteps of Jacky Ickx” fits perfectly with the Global Topspeaker and race driver Ellen Lohr. The Formula 1 World Champion Ickx had won the Dakar Rally exactly 30 years ago with a Mercedes-Benz G-Class and Ellen Lohr will also start this year with this class, A good omen for the all-round racer.

Racing driver and Global Topspeaker Ellen Lohr has already participated countless times as a driver in the world’s most famous off-road race. She knows the challenges of the Dakar Rally from her own experience and passes on this insider knowledge once again as representative of the press for Germany. The Dakar Rally started on the 5th of January in the Peruvian capital Lima and ended on the 20th of January after 8,500 kilometres in Santiago in Chile.
