Stefan Kuntz to be TV commentator at the Soccer World Cup in Russia
This summer will be filled with a wide variety of activities for the European Champion of 1996: During the world championship, Stefan Kuntz will be touring Russia on behalf of the German Soccer Association (DFB) in order to follow the development of the participating teams. Apart from that he will be at the studio in Baden-Baden, Germany, as commentator for the ARD. This does not create a moral dilemma for the U21 national coach, however: Kuntz, about whom the ARD says that he knows the national team „like no other“, will not comment any matches of the German team. Thus, the neutrality of his assessments is assured.
In a press release, ARD sports coordinator Axel Balkausky said: „With Stefan Kuntz, Hannes Wolf and Philipp Lahm, we were able to win over three great experts in addition to Thomas Hitzlsperger that will considerably enhance our coverage. With this team, we are well positioned for the World Cup."
Stefan Kuntz who led the German U21 National Team to the European Championship title only a few months after taking over last year, is very happy about the engagement and the challenge to bring the viewers in front of the TV closer to the action on the field. With his expertise, Stefan Kuntz also convinces in his role as a speaker. Witty and with a lot of humour, he explains to the audience of his presentations what companies can learn from soccer with regard to junior staff development, team building and enthusiasm.
