Old is so yesterday

When his mother learned in 1996 that her son programs websites, she was appalled. Therefore, Alexander Wild founded the first German online club for people over 60 in 1998 – and became a laughing stock. In 1999, he hosted the symposium “Senioren agil – Wirtschaft senil?“, but the event had to be cancelled due to a lack of participants. And today? The mega trends digitization and demographic change confirm what the astute entrepreneur realized early on…

Julia Peherstorfer - Digital Impact Labs Leipzig GmbH

"The event was well received by the participants and we received a lot of positive feedback. We found it very positive that Mr. Wild was already there during the first presentation and contributed to the discussion. Thus, the two impulse lectures complemented each other very well and gave two perspectives on the huge field of "demography". We still have the post-it's with the heart's desires of the seniors hanging in the workshop room - your message still accompanies us!"

Liane Riehl - Stadt Dessau-Roßlau

"Alexander Wild not only impressed the audience of our 4th economic forum under the title "Impulsraum Stadt - Chancen der digitalen Zukunft" with his profound knowledge of the older generation, he also enriched the evening with his entertaining narrative style. "Digitalization and demographic change" are central topics for the city of Dessau-Roßlau, which were vividly conveyed by Alexander Wild's lecture and which must now be grasped as an opportunity, but above all must be exploited."

The role of digital in senior marketing

Demographic change and digitization are revolutionizing marketing and society: In a world where physical and virtual environments are rapidly converging, companies have to be able to meet customer needs anytime, anywhere – and not only those of the young ones Senior marketing is also affected: from product development to advertising.

Profile

The internet pioneer remained faithful to the topics digitization and demographic change – and was right in doing so: Today, the Global Top Speaker Alexander Wild, who amongst other things managed the direct marketing of a big conference organizer before becoming self-employed, is regarded as a digital expert and as a profound connoisseur of the older generation in Germany. As founder and CEO of “Feierabend Online Dienste für Senioren AG”, he demonstrates both every day anew. His company advises SMEs and large companies from almost all consumer industries on the development of products and services and on marketing for older target groups. With the product tests by Feierabend-senior-scouts, Wild achieves the apparently impossible for his clients: the connection of market research, image advertising and product PR. Today, Feierabend.de is not only the oldest, but also the biggest German-speaking online network for people around 60 and was honored as “Best community in Germany” by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.

For these achievements, Alexander Wild was designated “rebel of the internet” by Frankfurter Rundschau and Financial Times named him one of the “101 heads of the new economy”. A headline of Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung read “Achieving success with ALDI principles” – Wild worked at ALDI after finishing his studies.

Every day, Wild experiences what makes the so-called best agers tick, he understands their language and knows how dialogue at eye level works, he know their wishes and about their market power – and he knows, how individual and young at heart older people are. And again, he’s betting on the future when saying: “Demographic change and digitization are two trends that go hand in hand. And together, they offer yet unidentified opportunities for our country, its economy and its society.”

Wild’s presentations combine a unique “Case study 60plus” and clear future research on digital marketing with an enormous wealth of exciting real-life stories. His presentations impress with high practical relevance and are continuously updated by Alexander Wild. The youngest offspring of a centuries-old gemstone-family is a passionate motor cyclist, skier and “proud father of three fantastic children”.
