Outstanding Praise for Mahmoud Kaabour’s film

Global Top Speaker Mahmoud Kaabour received an outstanding feedback concerning his film “Champ of the Champ”. The public screening and the following discussion took place in January 2015 in Abu Dhabi. As of the organizer of the event, Nils Lewis, Manager of Public Programs, NYU Abu Dhabi Institute, the viewing was an immense success, having over 300 guests in attendance. “This is a real testament to the draw of the film, and the relevance of its content.” said Lewis.

After the showing Keynote Speaker Mahmoud Kaabour conducted a vibrant discussion with the moderator and the audience. The Global Top Speaker is known to be an eloquent and articulate speaker, able to discuss the process as well as the historical and social context of his film with ease. “What most impressed me is that he does all this without becoming polemical; maintaining his focus on the productive dialogue that is the only way to create a path forward on the issue of migrant labor in the UAE. This film is a window into a little known world. It is my fervent hope that it is shown as widely as possible”, concluded Nils Lewis.
