Sven G. Jánszky: “Steak from the printer will become perfectly normal”

Trend researcher and Global Top Speaker Sven Gábor Jánszky recently spoke to the REWE Group magazine “one” about cloned meat from 3D printers and the supermarket of the future. In a spectacular interview, trend researcher Sven Gábor Jánzsky gave an insight into future eating habits – including our attitude to meat and its artificial production. You can find the interview here.

According to trend researcher and keynote speaker Sven Gábor Jánszky, animal tissue cells will in future be industrially cloned and shaped into steaks in 3D printers. “Cloning meat will soon be cheaper than letting a cow grow naturally.” Extreme, but logical.

For the retail sector, this development will mean greater differentiation with the emergence of the “individualised foodstuffs” category – food tailored to the individual with specific ingredients or active agents. Thanks to digitalisation, we will be much better informed about our general physical condition in years to come. We will know what substance we need at any particular time to boost recovery or prevent illness.

Trend researcher and keynote speaker Sven Gábor Jánszky is convinced that people will – despite current scepticism – start profiting from this trend as soon as they understand the concept’s advantages for their personal wellbeing.

The general trend is towards differentiation. This applies not just to food but to all types of product. Digitalisation is allowing us to measure ever more effectively just what we really want and need – and to customise products to meet those needs. The question of genetically modified food is one that each of us will be able to decide for ourselves.
