Dale Stephens is a recognized leader and innovator in the revolution of higher education. At 19 he founded UnCollege, an organization changing the notion that college is the only path to success. Through his work with UnCollege he empowers learners all over the globe to take direction over their education. In 2011 Dale was selected out of hundreds of individuals around the world as a Thiel Fellow, a program recognizing the top 24 entrepreneurs around the world under the age of twenty. He was recently selected as a Forbes' 30 Under 30 leader for 2012.

He has become a sought after speaker for a wide variety of conferences, from TED 2012 to Digital Life Design to the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. He is also praised as a speaker for organizations and has lectured at the New York Times and presented to C-level executives at NBC Universal and frequently consults universities wishing to take on changing trends in 21st century higher education.

As an education expert, he has written for publications such as the New York Times, Fast Company and The Washington Post and made appearances on major news networks including CNN, ABC, NPR, CBS, New York Magazine, Fox, and The TODAY Show. In early 2013 Penguin published his first book, Hacking Your Education, which offers valuable advice to current students as well as those who decided to skip college. 

As a speaker, Dale Stephens focuses on the coming transformation of education, both inside and outside the classroom.
